This section introduces the TRACE user interface. Unlike most applications, TRACE does not require extensive menus to access its features. Figure 2‑1 highlights the main sections of the TRACE user interface.

Navigating TRACE is a straightforward process:

1.    Use the Task pane to navigate to a specific item of interest. Task pane is sometimes referred as Sidebar

2.    See the results of the selection display in the Main pane (also known as Content pane), either direct content or a dialog box.

3.    Use the Toolbar to navigate pages in the Main pane, filter and print content, and perform full text searches on project data. Refer to Main Window Elements for specific information on each of the TRACE main window elements.
